Lining up? For sneakers? What? Twice in 1 day?!?!

So i caved. I did it. I had to, I literally had no choice...... Well, im sorry, I correct myself. I absolutely had a choice. I chose to get sneakers rather than pass on another release due to being partially lazy and not up to dealing with sneaker line ups.

So as most of you know, two dope sneakers dropped this weekend. The legendary Bordeaux Jordan 7 as well as my favorite for the weekend, Concepts recent collab with New Balance know as The Kennedy 999's.

So to the moment you have all been waiting for, the moment I lined up for sneakers once again. Like I said, it has been a while, that is because, like I said as well, I chose not to.

Up I got at 8am to head an hour north to New Hampshire to the Nike Employee Store to get some bordeauxs. Now dont get me wrong, under no circumstance was I excited about this release, however, I felt like I may regret it down the road if I did not get them. At 50% off? How could I possibly turn that down? I could not. So I got to the employee store at about 9:20 to a line of about 15 people. The thing about the employee store, and not being an employee, on big releases like this, and vendor has to wait an hour for the employees to get their pairs. So I waited outside for 35 minutes, then I hung around inside for another hour with my work buddy AJ (We both purchased, he was more excited about the PS LBJ 8. More about him in a future post.) So after an hour, luckily we both got our pair and that was that, all she wrote. Nothing too exciting.

Straight from there we headed about 2 hours down the highway to Concepts in Cambridge. When I got there, only about 7/8 people were in line as the release had started at 10 and by this time it was 11:30 at the earliest, so all the crazies had already gotten their pairs. So I stood in line again with AJ (He did NOT purchase the 999. Yes. I know. He IS an idiot.) By the time we got inside, about 10-15 minutes later, I had spotted the sneakers, decided I liked one of the hats, grabbed my 10.5 and was on my way.

Surprisingly, not much chalking it up with the other linees(?) occurred, I was pretty bummed, that is usually my favorite part.

So all in all, not a very exciting line up aside from the sneakers themselves. Got to see a couple good people at Concepts. Shout out to Deon and Chedda for always holding it down. If you dont know about Concepts....... I dont know how you could NOT know about Concepts, because they are what I like to simply refer to as, the ILLEST. Good dudes constantly serving up good products. What more could you ask for?

I guess that lining up is not as bad as it seems. Maybe I will continue to.

GOTCHA!!!

Just kidding. Fuck line ups.
